Staffing and facility setup

The most important part of setting up an ODC is hiring the right people. WorldPartner has established world-class recruitment processes to ensure that clients get the best people the Philippines can offer.

For phase three to start, the client must send WorldPartner a list of needed people and their required skills. WorldPartner may already have some resources to offer, but generally, staffing will come from fresh hires.

Upon receiving the staffing request, WorldPartner’s recruitment department takes charge of the search process – assessing candidates using Communication, English, Technical and IQ tests and carrying out initial personal interviews. When a potential candidate has been found, an online webcam-supported interview is set up between the client and the applicant.

Should the applicant suit the client’s needs, WorldPartner signs a contract with the applicant and ensures all other formal requirements are in order – non-disclosure agreement, profile updates, facilities, hardware, email, and so on.

It is important to note that, at times, staffing may take longer than expected. The best people are typically already employed and may require between 1 and 2 months before starting with WorldPartner.

Developer Trainee Program

A financially attractive alternative in staffing the team is engaging the best and the brightest fresh IT graduates available at a much, much lower cost than what experienced people are paid.

WorldPartner has a unique program in place for talented developers who wish to build a career in the technology industry. They are exposed to proper methodical training, best practices, and time-tested experience of IT veterans in the current workforce – all in all, a rigorous development plan aimed at producing in themselves invaluable components that bring competent knowledge, support, and hard work into every project.

ODCs can choose to take on a number of such fresh graduates. The graduates work as testers and technical writers on ODC projects; thus, they gain experience and knowledge from the actual software project, while providing high value back to the project in terms of quality assurance and administrative support. This program has, without exception, been an enormous success for all clients who decided to participate.
