Offshore Development Center

WorldPartner sets up Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) for its clients. Every ODC has a dedicated team of developers working in a controlled environment where WorldPartner handles general HR management, administration, recruitment, as well as project and operation management services.

Indeed, WorldPartner provides clients with a full turnkey offshore outsourcing package subject to client-specific requirements.

Setting up an ODC with WorldPartner usually follows a four-phase process:

phase1

Determining requirements and definition of goals

To effectively assist the client, WorldPartner strives to understand the client’s current working conditions. WorldPartner also helps the client define or review goals as well as write specific staff requirements. Moreover, WorldPartner determines the roles it needs to play in terms of project and operational management of the future ODC team. Client inputs are more than welcome.

phase2

Contracting with WorldPartner

WorldPartner has an ODC framework contract that is always used to regulate the contractual agreement between the client and WorldPartner. Depending on circumstances and specific requirements, the client and WorldPartner may agree on particular changes and modifications.

phase3

Staffing and facility set-up

Subject to specific skill requirements of the client, WorldPartner starts recruitment of developers for the ODC team. The staff recruited for a new ODC team typically consists of a few veteran WorldPartner employees as well as a number of new hires. Subject to the requirements agreed upon with the client and further specified in the framework contract, the workspace facilities including workstations and VPN are put in place.

phase4

Starting and managing the operations

Usually WorldPartner is responsible for project and operations management of the ODC during the initial six-month period. In this time frame, standard operating procedures are established and roles and responsibilities of individual team members are defined.
